Friends, supporters, peoples, fellow art-makers and watchers, crafty individuals, lovers, family…

As the year draws to a close, we thought it most NB to hold an event to launch us all into 2018. We have exciting things in store!

Event details:

Where: Drawing Room Cafe (87 Station Rd. Observatory, cape Town)

When: 25 November 2017

Time: 1-4pm

Entrance: There is not cover charge, but a pay-as you can system will be in place

ANY BODY ZINE is hosting ANYBODY ANYWHERE MAKING: a multidisciplinary performance and art-making session at the Drawing Room Cafe in Observatory with film, poetry, movement and music. We will be blessed by the flowing artists’ work (with more names to follow): Nicola van StraatenKopano Maroga and Dumama + Kerim Becker.

As part of our intention to investigate community-building and group art-making practices, there will be a ‘making-wall’ with 36 empty blocks. We invite you to interact, respond, create, stick, glue, re-make, fold, colour in, draw, write (or anything else that may come to you) on the paper wall. This may be in response to the performances, or it may be something you’ve been thinking about for a while. Your creations will be collated to create an ANY BODY ZINE special edition! Interaction is non-compulsory. You can simply come and watch the performances too.

Another important aspect of the event is the launch of ANY BODY ZINE’S Thundafund campaign (because we would really like to print 2017’s content and pay our contributors and the people who make the zine happen). Your contributions are vastly welcome =)

THERE IS NO COVER CHARGE FOR THIS EVENT, but a pay as you can system will be in place. The bar will be open at the Drawing Room Cafe.

We would love for you to come through because all we really want to do is be with you, watching, making and chatting on a Saturday arvey…
